Biography of the piano duo
In 1996 Pauline Post and Nora Mulder launched Post & Mulder Pianoduo. In search of compositions with a difference in musical point of departure and use of two pianos, their repertoire consists of pieces from 1900 until tomorrow. Alongside "classical composers" such as Debussy, Ravel and Messiaen, there are 23 pieces written especially for Pianoduo Post & Mulder and there are still more to come.
Pianoduo Post & Mulder has released two CDs on the BVHaast label, and has created a chamber-opera and music-theatre productions.
They played as duo-soloists in Francis Poulenc's "Concert pour deux Pianos et Orchestre" with the Dutch Radio Symphony Orchestra and in John Adam's "Grand Pianola Music" with the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra.

Pianoduo Post & Mulder has initiated its own projects, such as "The New Collection" , "The Two-backed Monster" and "Caprichos - Desastres" and has released 2 CDs on the label BV Haast. Most of the recorded compositions were written especially for them by composers including Richard Ayres, Eric de Clercq, (...)

performances
In 2000 the Duo launched "De Nieuwe Kollektie" (The New Collection): a collection of 26 theatrical pieces, written for Post & Mulder. Apart from the duo, actors, singers, electronics, video and art formed part of these performances.
In 2003 "The Two-backed Monster" was premiered: a chamber-opera by David Dramm (music) and Hafid Bouazza (libretto) about siamese twins. The pianoduo played piano, harmonium and a miniature "ship piano"; the two sopranos were Ingrid Kappelle and Marijje van Straalen.
In January 2007 "Caprichos - Desastres" was launched: together with the composer Arthur Sauer, Post & Mulder crafted a performance based on etchings by Francis Goya.
